How do I sign my daughter or son up for sewing classes?
You can sign your child up at studiostitch.com and look for Kids Classes or Kids Camps.

If necessary, can they un-enroll in the middle of the school year?
Or would you prefer that they are able to stay in class all year?

Most of our students enroll for the entire school year, however we know that sometimes schedules and situations change. When you sign your child up for After-School sewing classes at Studio Stitch, tuition is automatically deducted from your credit card on a monthly basis. That means your child’s spot in class is reserved and there is no need to re-enroll each month. In order to un-enroll simply fill out a “Drop From” and submit 30 days prior to your intended drop date.

What’s the first step for my daughter / son to begin taking after school classes?

The first step is to enroll online at studiostitch.com for the class day and time that fits your schedule.

Do you hold any special events to honor the students at the end of the year and display their works of art?

Yes, we hold a “Sew Show” annually at the end of the school year.

If I forget to bring something (a tool, fabric, buttons, etc.) for a project my son/daughter or I am working on, am I able to purchase what I need at the Studio?

We proudly carry a well curated selection of sewing essentials, so you should be able to buy any  notions etc. from what we have in stock. You can set up a “Materials Fund” at any time and we will load a gift card for you that we can keep at the studio for use when your child needs to purchase from the store.

If I send you an email, how soon can I expect to hear back from you?

We typically respond within 24 hours, Monday - Friday. If we are expecting to take any longer than that, we will notify you with a “vacation mode” response email.

Can I bring ANY type of crafting project to work on when using my membership? Or does it have to be strictly a sewing project?

We invite you to bring any creative project that you are working on. Our goal in opening up Studio Stitch Creative Club, has always been to nurture a community of creatives, and to have a space for creativity to flourish. We hope that you feel inspired and supported in your craft every time you walk through our doors.

How do you screen your teachers and staff?

All teachers and staff are Live Scan Fingerprinted, and have come highly recommended to us by members of our community.

Do you ever offer field trips for school or girl / boy scout troops?

Absolutely! Please reach out to us today by emailing sscreativeclub@gmail.com to arrange a field trip and / or community service sewing project.

What kind of sewing machine do you recommend we purchase for home use?

Studio Stitch uses the Eversewn Sparrow brand of sewing machine for classroom use. We recommend the same sewing machine for home use as they are machines the students will be familiar with. We offer them for purchase at a reasonable price. All machines come with a Free 1 hour lesson as well.

As a parent to a sewing student in the after school classes, do I have to be present while they’re in class? Or is it okay to drop them off?

You are more than welcome to drop off your student and return to pick them up once their after-school class is over. Please let us know that you have arrived, and then we will release your child. If you plan to have someone else pick up your child, kindly notify us via text prior to class.

What kinds of workshops do you offer?

We are proud to offer a variety of workshops that will be posted several weeks in advance. Some of our workshop offerings include quilting, loom weaving, cross-stitch, boho wall hangings, and many more! How far in advance should I reserve a spot for a birthday party or private event?

We highly recommend booking your birthday party or event at least 1 month in advance. This gives you enough time to invite all the people on your guest list, and will give you a greater chance of getting your desired date and time.

How does the tuition payment work?

We have a set rate per class ($18 per class), and calculate the yearly tuition based on the number of classes per "semester." For example, if there are 32 classes per "semester," then the total tuition for the year is $576. We have taken into account school closures for holidays etc. so this is accounted for in the yearly tuition cost, and you will not be required to pay for classes on days when we are closed.

Additionally, we offer monthly an installment payment option, which spreads the tuition out over 9 months, making it $64 per month. When you register for class(es), you will be given the option to pay in full for the year, or to pay in installments. If you choose the installment option, you will pay for the first month to hold your spot in class, and then payments will be automatically debited from your account on the first of each month, beginning the month AFTER you begin classes (since your first month was already paid for at check out).

If you are signing up for Monday classes, you will notice that the yearly tuition is less. This is because we are closed more Mondays throughout the year due to national holidays.
